Solco Pyroelec UK’s founders havemore than a decade of experience in the research and manufacture of trace heating products as well as having worked for a UK based ATEX notified body and IECEx accredited test and certification facility. Brand Story

Solco Pyroelec, considers itself the new leader of the electrical heat tracing industry and has a unique story behind its brand naming. The word ‘SOLCO’ derives from the parent company name ‘SOLCO Biomedical Group’ that has been leading the worldwide medical industry for the last 40 years from South Korea where it has been registered in the central stock market ‘KOSDAQ’ since 2002. The word ‘PYRO’ derives from the greek word (pyr) which means fire or heat. This combines with the word ‘ELEC’ from the word electricity to form ‘PYROELEC’ meaning electro-heat technology.
